Images are powerful, they say a thousand words.
This image is from my last year’s holiday collection in Albania. It was taken in Himara, one of the southern cities of Albania, part the beautiful Ionian coastline.
What this image evokes in me is tranquility and simple living.
But also a kind of ‘peace at last’ impression about what used to be troubled waters in communist Albania. In times of real desperation people would embark on the perilous journey of swimming across to Corfu. Some would survive, some wouldn’t. And their lastly found serenity still resonates, through these seemingly calm waters, that hold in them a million secrets.
What about you, what does this image evoke in you? What about, your favorite image?
